IT'S A PARTNERSHIP

Newport High School PTSA- Parent Teacher Student Association- an important part of Newport High School, located in beautiful Bellevue, Washington.  Newport High is part of school district #405.

By joining the PTSA, you are supporting students and teachers with your membership dues. By becoming involved with volunteering for school needs, and attending PTSA meetings parents can have a greater understanding of what opportunities NHS offers students. Each membership shows a true commitment and partnership to all of our students, families, volunteers, administration and staff in our community.

WSPTA's vision is that every child’s potential become a reality.  This cannot happen without members.  Members are the lifeblood of our PTSA as we focus this vision on the students at Newport High School.  

WSPTA's mission is that PTA is 

  • a powerful voice for children,
  • a relevant resource for families , schools and communities, and
  • an advocate for the well-being and education of all children.

 

When you join Newport High School PTSA, you become part of our state association and the larger National PTA. Your voice joins tens of thousands across Washington and millions across the United States as advocates for children.

NEWPORT SUCCESS AT REFLECTIONS
Newport High PTSA submitted 11 entries  to the Bellevue PTSA Council level to be adjudicated with all literature, photography and visual art submitted by the other high school's in the district.  Six NHS students received an Outstanding Interpretation Award from the Bellevue PTSA Council and will be moving forward to the Washington State PTA Reflections Competition.  For the remaining 5 participants, one student received an award of excellence and 3 others received an award of merit.  The PTSA will display the art work being returned to Newport to showcase these talented artists.  The entries moving on to the state level will ... read full article

BELLEVUE PTSA SCHOLARSHIPS--RILEY AND HURD-- $1,000 each

KNIGHT VALOR APPLICATION--DUE 5/15/17
Since Newport High School is changing how student volunteer hours are tracked , the PTSA Knight Valor System must change too. Students must follow instructions provided by counseling department to log hours into Naviance.  For the first 40 hours, the counseling department will verify your hours by confirming the non-profit organization and emailing supervisor you listed.  For the next 100 hours, keep logging in your community service hours.  Your hours will be verified and the non-profit organization will be e-mailed.  Do not wait until the last minute.  Try not to wait months to enter hours.  It will be harder for ... read full article
